Forgetting to blog

So it appears that blogging is not one of my key skills, composing blogs in my head and never typing them, much like text messages and emails doesn't actually get the job done.

My diary informs me I had made a resolution to update my website every month, blog at least once a month and generally be a one woman business machine, my diary is a very hopeful book with extremely high expectations of me. The reality of this 'one woman business mogul' is that I am just one woman and at that a mum, a partner and a maker and the making takes up such a phenomenal amount of my time that the business side has to wait, my 7 year old won't be 7 forever and everyone has to eat occasionally.

I have been very busy making and since my last blog post ( too long ago now to even bother mentioning, sorry Diary) I have exhibited pieces at the beautiful Devons Guild MAKE17 exhibition, The Llantarnum Granges 'Into the woods' exhibition, displayed and sold my work at Cardiff Made By Hand, cooked possibly the best Christmas Dinner of my life ( I mean officially it was the first Christmas dinner I have ever cooked, but lets not get bogged down with the details here).

This year so far I have exhibited and sold at Cheltenham made by Hand which was brilliant and I fell a bit in love with Cheltenham, possibly influenced by our current Peaky Blinders Netflix binge ( we are a little late to the party we know.)

As evidence of this years achievements I have included images here.... which is standard blogging practice apparently.

Next on the calendar this year is Made by Hand at Bovey Tracey, this runs from Friday 8th June to Sunday 10th and is basically a mini festival with the best curry I have ever eaten, over 100 of the finest contemporary craft folk exhibiting their work, workshops, coffee, cocktails, what more could you want for a June weekend in Devon? Sunshine? well that I have no control over so pack your wellies because this is England after all.

Right then thats my blog, it was fairly informative, good pictures, information etc. All important blog attributes ticked. Now its Sunday I have homework to do with the 7 year old, a roast to cook and bodies to stuff ( this is a technical craft process and nothing creepy involving real bodies).
