Leather scraps and the birds

With just a few days to go until 'Cardiff Made by hand' I have been tirelessly working on a collection to show at this prestigious event. The main inspiration for my pieces this year has been a huge bag of leather scraps in the most beautiful colours. These have inspired mermaids and now birds. I really wanted to produce some pieces that evoked the imagination and had a certain magical quality to them. My two favourite pieces are a Swan in a music box and a magpie. I am currently working on a jackdaw as there is nothing like last minute inspiration days before an event.

I will be at Cardiff Made By Hand at stand 59 from this Friday 28th October to Sunday the 30th. I do hope to meet some of you there.
