'My lady of the sea' Mermaid wall hanging 2026, Limited edition

It  has been many years since I last made a mermaid and the idea of a new mermaid has been living rent free in my head for a while now but I couldn't quite get her right, until last year i created my sea gulls on beautiful hand painted stormy backgrounds. This is how i want my mermaids to be. I have a bit of any obsession with anything nautical and stormy so my mermaid is exactly that.
 
She is hand and machine stitched from a section of leather scraps, each scale hand cut and applied to the tail then painted with gold and silver, her shells are hand made from clay and her ship is made by hand from card and vintage cloth.
 
She is mounted in a painted hand made tray frame ( thank you beardy) set amongst the stormy seas.
 
Currently an edition of only 1, but i do have a collection in mind, I am also happy to accept commissions for my mermaids so please do get in touch.
 
Paypal offer a pay in instalments option, otherwise I am happy to privately set up a payment plan with you if you wish ( I do not send the piece until the balance is settled).
