Crow and bird box, (postage included) freestanding textile sculpture

Let me introduce you to Crow, after making Wren I new I wanted to created one of my crows in the same style complete with her very own black and white stripe birdbox .
 
It wouldn't be a 'cat in the shoe' collection without my beloved crows x
 
Currently an edition of only one. 
 
Her body has been hand and machine stitched from calico, each feather is hand cut from leather scraps, remnants and vintage leather jackets then layered one by one to create the crow head, and her beautiful dress. Her beak is hand sculpted from self drying clay and painted / varnished.
The tights are stitched from repurposed clothes, the shoes are hand stitched from leather scraps. Her sleeves  are stitched from the pockets of an old pair of jeans and her dress is lined with a pure velvet.
The  bird house has been hand made from card and painted and she is standing on a solid wood base courtesy of the bearded one.
A true labour of love and art piece.
